Linguistics PhD. Candidate at Goethe University Frankfurt

I am a second year PhD student currently working on the relationship between language processing and diachronic change. I investigate where and why heritage speaker grammars differ from monolingual grammars. To do this I use different psycolinguistics methods, to evaluate language processing and production.

Together with my colleague Daniel we presented our ongoing worn as part of the project EVOLVE . We talked about how diachronic language change can help us predict changes in heritage speaker grammar (although not always) in Spanish and Portuguese.

I presented my work on the acceptability of clitic doubling in Rioplatense and Canarian Spanish and how that may inform our predictions for the heritage population.
